Introduction: The contents included in this artwork are taken from the artist Pei-yu Lai’s visits of different cities, with window views from international cosmopolitans such as Tokyo, New York, and Hong Kong incorporated with city views of Taipei. As these big cities become neighbors in this universe of art, a globalized borderless international view is created, which is symbolic of the transit system transporting and welcoming travelers from all over the globe as they come to visit Taiwan. Common city skyscrapers are transcribed by the artist into abstract icons in the shape of “□”. Presented in a collective language in this globalized era, an internal journey of the mind is also embarked upon through these urban spaces.
