“Light Wall” offers visitors the opportunity to experience the constantly changing magic of light. The installation uses dichroic glass which filters and projects different colors depending on the viewpoint and angle of the light. The positioning the 2505 dichroic fins has been determined by the binary code of the words Red Lantern translated into the languages of Taiwan’s major trading partners. Red Lantern symbolizes good luck and business prosperity and honors the National Convention and Exhibition Center as an important international gateway and cultural indicator in the Nangang Business Park. “Light Wall” creates a unique and fascinating experience of this wonderful building and its surroundings.
