Introduction：

The 2023 Next Art Tainan showcases the works of 10 winning artists from across the country and 14 groups of invited artists featuring diverse media and various themes. The exhibition is based on the unique mechanism of the Next Art Tainan and is presented in different dialogical contexts across ten galleries and art spaces in Tainan.

The curatorial theme, Bifurcation of Confluence, signifies the multitude of issues presented by young artists, reflecting contemporary aesthetic concepts, generational perspectives, and social and cultural aspects. This multifaceted synthesis serves as clues to reality and the future. Through the process akin to unraveling a cocoon, we glimpse how unique issues of the younger generation manifest in artistic creation. As meanings converge, they also give rise to spaces filled with pluralistic generative gaps, emitting various unpredictable aesthetic dimensions. Similar to the operation of the existing mechanism of the Next Art Tainan, by fostering dialogue between young creators and artists from various regions, it opens up a creative system still in the making, addressing different issues and forms, and bridging the gap between art and society. At the same time, it aims to inject another possible reference point into the local art community and individual creators.
